Local Libraries

CBU students, faculty, and staff may borrow books from select local academic libraries with whom we have consortial borrowing agreements as part of Plough Library's membership in Memphis Area Library Council (MALC).

How it works:

Search the Library (WorldCat Discovery) to find books in area libraries.
Present your CBU identification card when you visit these libraries.
Most libraries will require you to fill out a form, and they will issue you a temporary library card for their library.
When borrowing from other libraries, you are subject to their policies.

Other Tennessee Academic Libraries

Tennessee Academic Library Collaborative (TALC)
Plough Library participates in the Tennessee Academic Library Collaborative (TALC). Currently enrolled students and currently employed full-time and part-time faculty and staff from the participating institutions will be given borrowing privileges per the local policies of the participating libraries. Students, faculty, and staff should be in good standing with their home institution’s library and must abide by the lending library’s policies.
