Library Policies

Plough Library accepts donations of items that advance the collection, in support of Christian Brothers University. Donations must meet the same selection criteria as the items we purchase for our collection. (See Collection Development Policy.) Materials that are in poor condition or those that contain out-of-date information will not be accepted.

Items that are donated to Plough Library become the property of Plough Library upon receipt. Plough Library reserves the right to dispose of any materials that are not accepted into our collection. Items that are not accepted into our collection are generally sold, donated or recycled.

A donation receipt is available on request. Creating a list of items donated is the responsibility of the donator. Neither does Plough Library establish the monetary value of donated items.
