Plough Library surveyed the Faculty with an online survey during March and April 2023. There were 36 respondents.
The majority of the respondents were from the School of Arts, then Sciences; were full Professors, then Associate; and had been at CBU from 1-5 years, and 11-15. A high percentage of Adjuncts also responded.
Questions were duplicated from previous faculty surveys so that changes over time, if any, could be tracked.
Beyond demographics, the questions asked were:
How often faculty used such library resources as:
- the website
- databases
- the WMS catalog
- subject guides
- online articles
- print books
- eBooks
- interlibrary loan
How often faculty used library services in support of their teaching:
- linking to resources
- instruction services
- the instruction lab
- course reserves
How often various information literacy concepts were included in teaching:
- the use of scholarly resources
- plagiarism
- citing sources
- questioning quality and authority of resources
