Images found such databases as Medline or CINAHL may be printed for personal, non-commercial use, or used in presentations in non-profit educational settings. However, they cannot be posted on websites or used in any other form of publication or mass media without written permission from their publishers. Check the databases' copyright or permissions pages for details.

• Open Access material may also be freely available for personal and educational use but likely requires permission for other uses.
• Public Domain works can be used freely but should be attributed to their creators.

Regardless of whether a image is copyrighted or in the public domain, it should be cited in your reference list. See Citing Sources - Images for examples.
