Films on Demand: History
Films on Demand includes over 5000 videos on history topics from the ancient world to the present day. Includes documentaries, educational videos, interviews, speeches, and newsreels.

C-SPAN Video Library
Videos and transcripts of C-SPAN programs, including Congressional proceedings, news conferences, public affairs programming, BookTV non-fiction author talks and interviews, and more. Contains every C-SPAN program aired since 1987.
Moving Image Archive
Contains millions of digital movies uploaded by Internet Archive users. Content ranges from classic full-length films, to daily alternative news broadcasts, to cartoons and concerts. Many videos are available for free download.

The National Archives on YouTube
Links to the official YouTube channels of the National Archives and several of the Presidential Libraries. The videos include historic material (newsreels, etc), as well as videos produced by the Archives themselves.
British Pathé
Contains a rich source of newsreels from 1896-1976 from the British company Pathé. Films and stills are available from the website for free preview (clips only) and for purchase (full films).
Library of Congress Film Collections
Films digitized and made available through the Library of Congress. Strongest holdings are on films from before ca. 1920.
