Designed as an introductory MechE course at the University of Southern California, this course aims to teach students what MechE is (and is not) all about, how to consider the field, and in general give an intellectual background to the discipline.

ASME is the world's largest mechanical engineering society, with members from the United States and the rest of the world. ASME sponsors conferences, hosts regional meetings, and is a forum for mechanical engineers at all levels (including students) to gather professionally.
