Safe Zones Resources

CBU Safe Zones

What are Safe Zones?

The CBU Safe Zone Program supports LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, inter-sexed, asexual or ally) students. Safe Zones provide supportive and confidential spaces for any student to be heard, get resources, and feel safe. Safe Zones are marked with the Safe Zone logo and a certificate confirming Safe Zone Allies' completion of Safe Zone training.

You can explore this guide to find Safe Zones and LGBTQ+ resources and communities. We have the QR codes for CBU Resources, LGBTQ+ Resources, LGBTQ+ Specific Crisis Telephone Numbers, and LGBTQ+ Community Outside of CBU below or you can click on the red title just in case you want quick access.

A list of Safe Zone Certified People is provided on the Safe Zone page in CBU Resources. The LGBTQ+ Specific Crisis Telephone Numbers page has other methods of contact and important places you can reach out to in times of need.

If you enjoy reading or just want to see what we have to offer, the LGBTQ+ Reading page has several LGBTQ+ fiction and non-fiction books. A small sample can be seen on this page.
